Why we built VibedIn
Travel planning often starts with a feeling, not a spreadsheet. You know you want something coastal, quiet, food-focused, or adventurous, but you are not ready to compare flights yet.
Most tools jump straight to maps, prices, and booking. That is useful later. It is heavy when you are still dreaming.
We built VibedIn as a discovery experience: pick your vibe, and we surface places that match, with photos, short guides, and GIFs. One exact spot or a short list. No map UI, no checkout.
Who it is for
VibedIn is for people browsing travel ideas, looking for inspiration before they commit to dates or bookings.
It is not a travel agency, tour operator, or booking platform. We do not sell flights, hotels, or packages. Prices, visas, safety, and availability change. Always verify details with official sources before you travel.
Basic discovery works without an account.
What VibedIn does
On vibedin.org you pick moods and vibes on the vibes page. Optional notes help narrow the match. Our matcher scores places in the catalog by vibe overlap and shows results on a dedicated results page.
Destination profiles combine editorial copy, vibe tags, and media from licensed or permitted sources including Unsplash, Pexels, Pixabay, and Giphy. Some images may refresh via stock photo APIs when catalog URLs need updating.
Each destination page is meant for browsing, not checkout. You get context, imagery, and vibe tags that explain why a place matched your selections. GIF strips add motion and mood without turning the site into a social feed.

Why we built it
We wanted a lighter step before the heavy planning tools. Something you can open on a Sunday afternoon, explore a few places that fit your mood, and save the names that stick.
Travel inspiration sites often look like booking engines with the buy button hidden. VibedIn deliberately skips maps and reservations so the first question is simpler: where does this vibe take you? Matching by mood overlap keeps results explainable instead of feeling random.
We also wanted the site to feel calm. No price widgets, no countdown timers, no pressure to book before a deal expires. Just places, photos, and enough copy to decide whether a destination belongs on your shortlist.
