Delete your account: Before the Gust

This page explains how to delete your Before the Gust account and the data linked to it. Before the Gust is made by Asetral. It is published at https://asetral.com/app-policies/before-the-gust/delete-account. The full details are in the Privacy Policy (section 11).

An account is optional. If you never created one, there is nothing to delete: the game keeps your progress on your own device, and you can remove it by clearing the app's data or uninstalling the game.

Option 1: delete it in the app (fastest)

  1. Open the Android app and tap the account button on the main menu.
  2. While signed in, tap Delete account.
  3. Confirm. Your account and your cloud save are deleted immediately.

If the app asks you to sign in again first (a security step), sign in and repeat step 2.

Option 2: ask us by email

If you cannot open the app, email contact@asetral.com from the email address you signed in with, with the subject "Delete my Before the Gust account". If you signed in with Google, write from your Google account's email address. We will confirm it is you and delete your account and cloud save within 30 days.

What is deleted, and what is not

Data What happens
Your account (email address, Google profile name, account ID) Deleted. Google removes it from its backup systems within 180 days.
Your cloud save (progress copied to Cloud Firestore) Deleted.
A cloud save that is deleted in the app but the account could not be removed The app signs you out and tells you to repeat the step. Sign in again and tap Delete account once more, or email us as in option 2.
Progress stored on your device Not touched. Remove it by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling.
Anonymous analytics events Not linked to your account, so we cannot find them for you. They expire automatically (up to 14 months).
Crash reports Not deleted with your account. They expire automatically after 90 days. A report may include your account ID, which no longer points to any account once it is deleted.
Emails you sent us Kept for as long as needed to answer you, and no longer than 2 years after our last reply, unless the law requires longer.

Signing out does not delete anything. Deleting your account cannot be undone.
