Why we built SpotPin

We built SpotPin because location reminders were scattered. A pin in one app, a photo in the camera roll, directions copied somewhere else. When you need to find that café or parking spot again, the trail is messy.

SpotPin puts the important parts together: a place on a map, notes, photos, and reminders when you are near it.

What SpotPin does

On the SpotPin product page we describe it simply: save real-world pins with maps, photos, and reminders. You can use optional cloud sync or keep data on your device, depending on how you set it up.

That matters for people who want location memory without turning everything into a long text note.

Problems we wanted to solve

Forgotten places. That view, shop, or meetup spot you meant to revisit.

Context loss. A pin without a photo or note does not tell you why you saved it six months later.

Reminder timing. A generic alarm is not the same as "tell me when I am close."

Maps and reminders exist everywhere. Combining them for personal place memory was the gap we cared about.

How we approach our own apps

We ship small tools we would use ourselves. SpotPin is Android-focused in our public materials; we iterate based on what makes save and recall faster in daily life.

We do not treat our apps as side demos. They go through the same design and engineering attention as anything we ship for someone else.
